National university professors/academics, renowned breeders and propagators from government and private agencies with national achievements, and seed quality standard certifiers from government agencies.
content (Each module is equivalent to 3 credits)
Module 1: Development of commercial hybrid varieties: Hybrid breeding, plant breed testing and selection, seed production and important techniques, and modern plant breeding and technology.
Module 2: Seed quality control technology: Purity of plant varieties and hybrid seeds, seed purity testing and processes for maintaining plant variety purity.
Module 3: Technology for detecting and monitoring seed-borne diseases: The importance of seed diseases and disease occurrence, diagnosis of plant abnormalities caused by diseases and pests, information sources for plant disease diagnosis, diagnosis of plant abnormalities caused by non-living things, diagnosis of diseases caused by living things, integrated plant disease management guidelines (IPM) and disease diagnosis in the field
For those interested
Type 1: Study throughout the course for 3 months and receive a certificate (only 30 people will be selected) Free of charge) Each module is equivalent to 3 credits. The credits can be saved and transferred in case of wanting to study at the graduate level.
Type 2: Attend a special lecture via Zoom (free, unlimited number, but must register in the system)
30 people/class (only type 1) 1 class/year, starting from July 2021 to Oct. 2021 (3 months), 240 hours/class
Learning style
Some lectures and activities were conducted via Zoom for practical training (10 full days) at Khon Kaen University and relevant agencies in Khon Kaen Province.
