Today (December 2, 2022) at 09.00 a.m., Khon Kaen University, Khon Kaen Province, Rajamangala University of Technology Isan Khon Kaen Campus, and Lily Pharma Co., Ltd. held a press conference for the “18th Khon Kaen International Marathon” or “Khon Kaen International Marathon 2023 (KKIM2023)”, chaired by Mr. Kraisorn Kongchalad, Governor of Khon Kaen Province. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, announced the readiness of the event. Mr. Boonkit Aunpikul, Assistant to the President of Rajamangala University of Technology Isan Khon Kaen Campus, and Mr. Prapass Sukphanphotharam, Chief Technology Officer of Lily Pharma Co., Ltd., as the main sponsor, joined the press conference, which was attended by many officials, personnel, and media personnel at the Sarasin Meeting Room, 2nd floor, Sirikunakorn Building, Khon Kaen University. KKU joins in preserving the arts, culture, and customs of the Isan region by bringing more than 200 dancers to perform a dance to pay homage to the 10 sacred objects of Khon Kaen City to celebrate the 225th anniversary of Khon Kaen City and to show the unity of the people of Khon Kaen.
Khon Kaen University, led by executives, lecturers, staff, students, and more than 200 students, participated in the ceremony to pay homage to the 10 sacred objects of Khon Kaen to celebrate the 225th anniversary of Khon Kaen and its auspiciousness. This was an expression of the unity of the people of Khon Kaen Province at the Khon Kaen City Pillar Shrine before the official start of the 2022 Silk Festival, which will be held from November 29 to December 10, 2022. On Monday, November 28, 2022, Khon Kaen Province organized the ceremony to pay homage to the 10 sacred objects of Khon Kaen to celebrate the 225th anniversary of Khon Kaen and the International Silk Festival, the Phi Suea tradition, the Khon Kaen Red Cross Fair, and the Khon Kaen Soft Power Fair 2022 (from November 29 to December 10, 2022) at the Khon Kaen City Pillar Shrine.
