On Sunday, April 6, 2025, at the Kaen Muang Meeting Room, Khon Kaen Provincial Hall, Khon Kaen Province, a ceremony was held on the occasion “King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great Day and Memorial Day of the Chakri Dynasty” With Mr. Kraisorn Kongchalat, Governor of Khon Kaen Province, as the chairman of the ceremony, along with heads of government departments, government agencies, private sectors, and the general public joining the ceremony in full force.
Khon Kaen University, led by Assoc. Prof. Natsamol Thanakulrangsarit, Vice President for Legal Affairs and Corporate Communications, along with personnel of the Corporate Communications Division, as representatives of Khon Kaen University, joined the ceremony to express loyalty and pay homage to the great kindness of every Thai monarch. The ceremony included the laying of wreaths, the presentation of royal anthem, and the singing of the Royal Anthem and the King's Anthem in unison.
The significance of King Rama I Day and the Chakri Dynasty Memorial Day Every year on April 6, the government has designated it as "King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great Day" To commemorate the great kindness of King Rama I (Rama I), who established Rattanakosin as the capital in 1782 and was the founder of the Chakri Dynasty.
It is also considered as “Chakri Dynasty Memorial Day"To honor and glorify the virtues of all Thai monarchs who have performed royal duties that are of incomparable benefit to the country.
The ceremony was held with great honor and order, reflecting the unity, respect for the institution, and the sense of gratitude for the great kindness of the Thai monarchy that is deeply embedded in the hearts of all Thai people.
