College of Computer Science, Khon Kaen University Congratulations to Mr. Yanyathorn Boonlue (Artificial Intelligence Program, Year 2) and Mr. Punnawich Phongsawaroj (Computer Science Program, 1st year) Two students from College of Computer Science, Khon Kaen University That created outstanding results in the activity competition “Hackathon & Pitching Towards an Advanced Career” and Project Presentation (Advance Coding & AI Skills and Proposal Round: E-SAN Thailand PMU-B Coding & AI Academy Season 2), a project to develop a learning platform that promotes professional competence in STEM, Coding & AI under the support of the Human Resource Development Management Unit and the Higher Education, Research and Innovation Development Fund (BPEC). This competition started in August 2024 with more than 1,000 participants before being selected to remain only 20 final teams that competed in the final round, which was held from 9–11 February 2025 at Avani Hotel, Khon Kaen Province.
Students from the College of Computer Science, Khon Kaen University received the following awards:
1. Mr. Yanyathorn Boonlue (Artificial Intelligence Program, 2nd year)
Team up with students from the Computer Science Program, Faculty of Education, to present a project. “Good Brain, Smart Mind” Which won awards including 4 awards namely
– Third runner-up prize
– Special award from Mindbot Company
– 2 awards for support for study tours in South Korea
2. Mr. Punnawich Phongsawaroj (Computer Science Program, 1st Year)
Team up with high school students and the general public to develop “MOODY: A Deep Learning-Based Mental Health Diagnosis and Monitoring Platform” Which grabs 3 awards namely
– Special prize
– Special award from RUEE Lab.
– Award for support for study tour in South Korea
Both projects are designed to diagnose and treat brain and mental health, reflecting the potential of Thai youth to develop innovations for society. This competition is not only a platform to test the potential of Thai youth, but also an important opportunity to open up experiences and develop skills to prepare them to enter the global technology industry.
