On 14 November 2025, Associate Professor Ampornpan Theeranut, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University, was invited as a keynote speaker at the Pan-Beibu Gulf Nursing Academic Symposium 2025, held in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, People’s Republic of China. This invitation underscores the international recognition of the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University.

During this academic forum, the Dean delivered a presentation titled “Education Transformation: Roadmap for KKU Smart Nurses.” The presentation outlined approaches to modern curriculum development and strategies for preparing future-ready nurses who can effectively respond to global technological advancements and health systems transformation. The session drew significant interest from representatives of international academic institutions.
In addition to her keynote address, Dean Theeranut met and held discussions with executives from the Guangxi Nursing Association. The meeting provided a platform to exchange ideas on professional capacity building for nursing personnel and outline future collaborative initiatives, including student and staff exchanges and joint research projects.
The participation in this international academic forum reflects the crucial role of the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University, in continually driving academic cooperation on the global stage. Furthermore, it contributes to elevating the standards of Thai nursing education and expanding recognition across the Asian region.
